Amazingly enough when I got home yesterday the cupidispathum inflorescence was still going strong. The withered tip of the spathe is a bit longer now but the main part of it is still good.

I first noticed it was flowering on 21 April this year and fully open. So it's at least 2.5 months old now and still going. Rather amazing.

Todays photo.

While I was away last week the spathe seems to have dried out but the spadix doesn't seem to have. Don't know whether that's normal for this one, it's the first I've had flower. Still, that's close to 3 months it was blooming.

RachelLF said:eclayne, I've read Julius Boos' article as well and found it very informative. I've never let my johnstonii be exposed to temperatures below 75F. although, it has been a slower grower for me while indoors for the Winter months. I believe high humidity is also a key factor in keeping this plant looking well.

Well Shoot...my greenhouse goes down to 58-60 regularly when we get a cool/cold snap and my C. johnstonii hasn't even blinked at it. It's even made new pups. I think I might bring them inside tho...
Now I'm gonna be all worried about it !
God gave us wings. He just called them horses
