From Channel 7 news..
DENVER - It is a bitter, bitter cold start to the day. Temperatures are now about 10 to 20 degree below zero, with wind chills at about 30 to 40 degrees below zero.

Here's a story about our earthquake yesterday:
http://www.accuweather.com/en/...
I guess Oklahoma and Southern Kansas are going to take first place away from California!
The really weird thing is, I was in Stillwater Oklahoma in 2011 when the 5.6 quake hit. I was at a forestry conference in an auditorium and it knocked me off my feet, spilling my coffee. It sounded like a Mack truck hit the building. The gal sitting next to me claimed to not hear or feel a thing! My first thought was terrorists and firebombs, so I headed to the door. A man from the university stopped me and said it was "just" an earthquake, that they got them all the time because of the fracking.
Mike, my older, neurotic lab has been exceptionally clingy since yesterday. She will not leave my side! I couldn't figure out why until I read your post.
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.

Very interesting article in that link, Cindi.
Like Sue said, some other state finally topped Ca. for quake activity.

My aunt who lived in Sylmar, Ca. had a cat that they figured either ran away or got eaten by a coyote. This was two years BEFORE the Sylmar quake. Three weeks AFTER the quake the cat resurfaced and lived another 12 years.
It seems like whenever you see news coverage of people returning to what's left of their homes after a quake or a fire, there's always a cat lingering about who managed to escape unscathed.
