Many Neoregelia, Guzmania and other Bromeliads will show different colorations with different lighting and culture conditions. There are so many different types of Broms and I thought Cinta's plant looked a lot like Neoregelia Michi but it could very well be another cultivar.

Yes it is. It has been a nice, rich burgundy for three months and is getting darker every week.

Lin what I am trying to figure out is do the color of the center flower show in the young or if it would be progressive as the plant matures. I was at Lowes yesterday and they had a small Bromelaid that was very similar to the one I pictured. That small plant had about 4 pink leaves and the lower leaves were green.

From the looks of the pup having so much pink I think this one will grow in that manner, of starting out pink on the top and as it matures and get more leaves the lower leaves will be green.
