I thought this might be Southern Lady Fern (Athyrium asplenioides) but I'm really not sure. Photo taken mid May in the North Georgia mountains area of Blue Ridge, Ga.

More likely... One of the dryopteris...

There are so many... With such small differences, difficult to positively identify from a single picture.

Nevermind... Just checked your lady fern... It could be...

I had something else in mind as a "lady fern".

LOL, ferns really confuse me. I think there are a couple called "Lady Fern". My first thought was possibly Dryopteris goldiana but pictures I looked at just didn't look right. Ferns are so difficult sometimes.
