WEEDWHACKER - when it snows or we have ice, they just shut down the roads .... schools .... businesses, etc. Sure not like the Midwest where I grew up -- we just laugh and enjoy it.

Heh, I remember a few years back we were sitting at our outdoor table having a drink and a snack. Looking across the road, I said "Look at that! It's raining over there and nice and sunny here!" Then we realized it was coming our way. Aaaakkkk! Scrabble, scrabble, running inside to escape the torrential downpour that came tripping across the road!

Yup, have encountered that here in our area, raining heavily right where we are driving by , and just a few steps out, sunshiny dry weather..quirky weather pattern usually around Spring.

Yep, we've had it on one side of our house and not the other, too... it does seem weird when it happens, but like Deb said, "it has to start somewhere" !
