Tarev, do you have two separate plants in that pot? If your bloom photo is correct we do know that it isn't Graptopetalum paraguayense. The mystery deepens. Big Grin

Charleen here is a great link for more information on your great cactus. Is there an entry in the database yet for that one? http://cactiguide.com/cactus/?...
Hurray! Oh boy, there is Charleen and no information or photos yet. You can get a lot of acorns for filling in the information and post a photo. Hurray! Hurry. Thumbs up

OOps big oopps...so sorry, I was reviewing my old photos and came across photos taken on Feb 2010, so it seems I have put 2 plants in that pot..and they got so entwined together...these were their photos at that time...so maybe better ID...sorry for the mix up..!!

It looks like it very possibly is Graptoveria 'Fred Ives'. Graptopetalum and Graptoveria are two different things. Big Grin

I have been collecting these succulents, did not really bother with their actual botanical names hehehe, just love to see them thrive, and now I am getting to know them better :-)

Hurray! Good going Charleen, I knew you could do it. Thumbs up

Faye, click on the Plant tab at the top of the page. Once there type into the search box the plant you want to enter a photos for. Be sure you type in the correct name. If the plant already has a listing click on it. At the bottom of the page you will find Adding Actions and Editing Actions. Click on the function you want to do. Like add a photo.
If there isn't an entry yet you can create an entry. Click on Plant tab at top of page then click on Add a new plant to the database and follow the instructions. And you get acorns for having fun adding information and photos. Hurray!

I luv those Medusa Head plants like Tarev's E. flanaganii and also the E. caput-medusae. For some years I collected things without much attention to the names either. Just bought what I liked. Then I discovered I really liked and appreciated knowing the botanical names. It has saved me some confusion over the years, if nothing else. And I need all the help with that I can get.

Nice String, Charlene. Lovey dubby
I garden for the pollinators.

Tarev can you give us a post number? If you go to the link the photo is in and click on the pots # in the bottom right of the post. That will open a window, copy the url and past it in a new post here. We will be able to click on it and see the photo your are talking about. Thumbs up

Oh, I found it. Hurray!
http://garden.org/thread/view_...
And I believe you have the correct ID for it. Crassula alpestris, great plant.
Now you can go type that name into the Plant Database and add your photo. It will be the very first one entered. Thumbs up
Then you can fill out the plant details and any comments you want to make about the plant. Wow, you will get a bunch of acorns for this one. Can't wait to see it when you get it all filled in with information and photos. Hurray!
