If it wasn't up against 4 of the cutest frogs on the planet... how does anyone compete with that??! Only this pic made me hesitate. This pic is so focused, such pretty colors, and wow - what a lovely critter, as far as spiders go. Apparently very smart too, she blends in so well. What kind of flower is this?

Thanks, Tiffany. I took this picture a few years ago at our place in NE Pennsylvania and I honestly can't recall which wildflower it was. I have to pay attention next Summer, I see these flower spiders all the time on white blooms there.

Ursula, I have seen them too. If memory serves I think I saw them on Queen Anns Lace.
I'm going to look it up.

I found Crab Spiders and there is a large number of them. I believe this one can change its color depending on the background.

Yes, mostly on Queen Anne's Lace. But I don't think it is that in my picture.

Sorry, I'm late to the discussion. I should have started with this category!

Yes, I love love love this picture! I also do love spiders. Even whatever mean one bit me over the summer and really did a number on my leg.

We had a yellow crab spider here last year. We had to look it up. Sadly I have not seen another one since. Intriguing creatures.

Thank you for this great photo!
