i loved the soft coloration. do you happen to now what variety this is?

here ya go! Petunia 'Dolce Flambe'

wow! it's like it is water-color painted, such a nice range on the same plant. the commonly available stuff is so-o gaudy that i could barely find a couple of plants last year to buy!

They reminded me of those antique shades of pansies that made the nursery rounds for a while. I haven't seen either in at least a couple of years now.

i am in the apt - so raising from seed is not my thing; but there's always the future :).
i also found that it is from a Dolce series (and atp has entries for them):

and it turns out i had a lemony 'Limoncello' a few years back! and i do love Limoncello too - easy to remember ;). so may be they do carry it on occasion, i'll just have to be on a lookout. the whole dolce series is very special.

That Salmon one sure looks the same. Your links make me want to try the whole series!
