I think my favorite shots of tulips are the backlit ones and this is a great example! It evokes a feeling of sitting among a sea of tulips with the morning sun on my face. nodding

Yeah, I really enjoy those shots, too. They seem to transluce (that really ought to be a verb) and they way that they do is kind of creamydreamy (that's a word. period.). This one didn't get too much love in the contest given the remarkable photos that were there, but it's one of my favorite things to shoot. I think I have scores of them buried in just slightly fewer folders.

Maybe one of my favorite things about the contest is seeing reactions (both in the voting and in these pic-specific threads) that people have to the pictures. Kind of broadens the way I look at the art and makes me notice things that I'd otherwise missed. Kind of a sidetrack here, but that's gonna happen when I start thinking/speaking/typing.

I always enjoy your comments on in the forums, Sue. Thanks.

Yes creamydreamy is most definitely a word in my book!! And transluce for sure! I really loved this picture.

To me, the contest aspect of these photos really was secondary (well, also maybe because I did not enter any!) I found my tastes of favorites to be drastically different from the masses, the masses being those who voted for the winners. And actually, not sure masses is the right word. I was also surprised at how few members must have voted because the totals for even the winning photo did not seem very high considering how many total ATP members there are.

Sorry, I'm getting distracted and wordy. I truly enjoyed all the photos. I was very moved by many of them. They evoked so many emotions in me. I'm thrilled we get to make comments so I can share with the photographers what their photos meant to me. Clearly they meant something to them.

If I had entered, winning would not have been important. Feedback would have been much more rewarding...for ME.

Again, wonderful creamydreamy photo! Thank you for sharing.
