Good score on the GH @Bubbles! My friends all know to pass on garden things to me. They might think it's had it but it's another man's treasure, right? And do I have to repeat myself about saving those black landscape pots??

It's a little bigger than we thought, but I can fill it up if I try! Whistling The door is gynormous. Supposed to be windy tomorrow, so we may finish the bracing and set the plastic later this week. It's supposed to be in the 70s all week. It doesn't show from the street so the HOA can't see it.

Thanks , Josephine. I think we are taking the day off, even if the wind isn't blowing! It's too pretty to be working on the greenhouse today!

Hurray! @Bubbles. Please start posting on the Greenhouse thread. This looks enterprising!! I can't wait to see more pictures! Are you making it a permanent structure in your yard? Or will you rebuild it each year?

It's just a temporary one, Cheryl. There's not enough room for a permanent structure.

I really don't think it's interesting enough to merit moving it to the Greenhouse forum. We did try to "match the colors" up on some of the elbows. Just wasn't working, though. DD called and said, "The colors don't mean anything." They had used the pipe and pieces to put up some kind of structure for the kiddo's party last year and painted them!

We do have a tiny permanent greenhouse attached to the side of the house. Years ago, DH built it for me from windows and a small French door from Habitat's Reclaim Store (all for $90.). It was before I joined Master Gardeners and learned that the north side of the house was not an ideal location for a greenhouse! It's now home to garden tools, Shop Vac., and asst. garden supplies. It's messy...

Here's a photo of the wall of watering cans:

Rain and a bit of cold is coming.
Got up on the roof today and cleared off most of the leaves. Of course, there are more up there even as I climbed off the ladder. But the gutters are cleared and ready for the rain that is predicted this week. That was my motivation as I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned leaves 5 hours a day for 3 days. Blowing leaves this time of year is a big job as it is. But wet leaves? UGH! I know after the rains there will be even more leaves for me to take care of especially since it will be followed by a cool-down. But the obsession to start out with a clean (almost) leaf-free yard before any rain is a bad habit of mine. I won't complain about how sore I am!
