Everything comes round as new again, sometime. I'm up to my shins setting out mast and fruiting trees at two campgrounds near me.

Also with medicinal and woodland plants in forested spaces.

The end result I'm working toward will if I'm lucky look like an orchard.

I am subject to folks requests. So what I plant is in part driven by who wants some growing (at both campgrounds).

I am relieved to report that goldenseal, resolutely needs cold stratification but is not a spongy wet seed (like bloodroot is). I should be able to buy and cold stratify seed, and then let local elves broadcast seed in the fall.

Its going to take me several orders longer (in time) to get bloodroot stands growing.

Maybe, just maybe I can get a few of these food-islands growing before I croak.

Mildy off-topic:

The wife loves chachkies. She has several dozen smaller figures-dollies of holiday cartoon figures. She uses them to loaf under the Christmas tree.

Well, this year the tree came with a packet of stuff to keep the tree fresh, but, it also carried a dire warning against letting pets drink the tree water.

So, the chachkies are all inna picket-line (ADAPT-style) guarding the base of the tree from Kringle cat.

As unlikely as this sounds, old Kringle cat, has so far been kept off the tree-water.

The Musser's flier has four colors of azalea on offer. I dunno if I can spring for multiples of all four, but I think I'll shoot for (their words)an orchid and a red.

Ten twigs aught to keep me busy.
