Hi, I'm Polly, and I live up in cold upstate NY, where we get about 200 inches of snow anually.

I was very lucky to have a friend who had to build a retaining wall, and offered me the peonies that were in the area the wall was being built. I don't have IDs on the ones I received, but there were about 20 different cultivars, old and new.

I have since purchased a few named cultivars and species.

The scent just fills the house, I love it.

Thank you for starting this forum. I'm sure I will be a regular.

A nice place for me to learn more about these peonies.
I have about 30 of them scattered around the yard.
Some named, some over 30 years old and some mystery ones which I purchased last fall and the names were all mixed up.

Caroline you definitely should post some pictures this summer when they are blooming and maybe we can help you find some names for those mysteries.

Hi I am Susan and I currently live in NC but am moving to Massachusetts in August. I am interested in Peonies because I will be starting my own greenhouse/nursery/floriculture business in MA and one of the flowers I want to grow and sell is peonies. I have never grown them before but would love to larn all I can about them.

Hi I'm new to peonies sort of I have 2 a red one and a white one that I have drug around with me for ever well about 30 years (we have lived here25 ) last year I got 6 new ones and so now I'm waiting and biting my nails that they all come up this year I love them I don't know why I waited so long to get more but I'm sure there are more I REALY need ;0)
