This is my first foray into dahliadom. I have ordered 6 dahlias, 4 of which should get 4ft or thereabouts. Should I expect this height the first yr? I'm in zone Thank You! 8.

Mine never do but then my zone is a 4a

Will you be able to leave them in the ground? That would certainly contribute to their being bigger.
