@terrafirma I once heard someone say they had an epi for 30 years and it had never bloomed! At my age, I'm glad I didn't have to wait that long!

@terrafirma Let's hope that next year you see some blooms, but just remember that it's one night and one night only. It takes forever for them to mature and open. Maybe I'm just too impatient. First, several days before they open, the buds turn upward, thus giving them the nickname of Dutchmen's Pipe. The day they open, the buds swell and then in late afternoon, the show begins!

@dirtdorphins This is one of my favorite plants. When it blooms, this is the closest thing to watching time lapse photography -- you can almost see it beginning to open!
