This is an unusual Orchid that I'll bet no one has seen before.

Aluminum Cans make great great Fantasy Fun Orchids! I just thought some of you good folk would find this fun. Don't expect this thread to go far but didn't want to barge in on your real ones! Smiling

My Florida gardening pals Elaine and Ann helped me with the fun name.

"Hey Elaine and Ann!" Smiling

Is that Ball Moss or Spanish Moss in the forefront?

The reason I ask is because I have quit collecting Tillandsia unless it is native to Florida, usually in a very few southern counties in your state. Ball moss is one that I have. I also grow Spanish moss in my oak and cedar trees, though the "experts" here in NE Mississippi told me that it would be impossible to grow. I don't like being told I can't do something. Whistling

Yes, and the pot too Kate. Smiling

It is Spanish Moss, and the tall spiky Tillandsia in the small pot by the head figure is another native. Both grow plentifully in the trees in my yard and all around Central Florida.

Those are stunning! Every time I work with aluminum cans I end up needing a box of band aids and a blood transfusion.

Hilarious! I've not had a cut yet and work bare handed. It was the tin ones that got me good when I worked with them years ago though. The aluminum seems kinder for me some how. Smiling

You must be very deft, David. I'm sure I'd be bleeding with Anne at the first aid station.

I kind of like the silver color on that. It's elegant. But . . . it looks a bit more like a Bat Flower with all those whiskers. Not many orchids I can think of with long stamens like that.

There are a lot of things I'd like to do with aluminum cans but until I can find something like a soldering iron that will melt aluminum so I could blunt the edges, I stay clear.

Those are really beautiful David!
