Thank You! Cinta. My succulents do better winter to spring. Our summer this year is too rainy, they were not happy.

That is when my succulents do better is summer when it is raining except when we had rain everyday for a month. You know I have that bad habit of planting in pots without drainage. Sad

I had to lay them all on their sides for a week so they did not drown.

I kill everything if they do not have drainage. I have a lot of beautiful pots with no drainage and they are just all stacked up waiting for me to figure out what to do with them.

I have been able to put holes in a number of Holly's using a masonry bit using light pressure on the drill. The threat of breaking is always there. There have been failed attempts. Angry

Gigi it is easy just go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy a cheap cordless drill and get a Masonry Drill Bit. When I did it I put some tape on the bottom of the pot and just drilled real slow.

I kill plants if they have drainage. I have plants that have lived for 15 yrs in pots without drainage.

I have a problem with watering.....I just do not water. When I water them indoors I have learned how to water without drainage holes and do not have water all over the place or have to empty dishes under the plants. Since my plants are inside most of their life I cannot have all that dirty water all over my furniture and floors. I love white so I would have filthy white carpet, furniture, etc. No drain holes for me in my house.

Hilarious! Cinta, we have black veined tile in the living room for 2 purposes, 1 to collect solar heat (we have 120sq' of glass there) and 2 to catch the water from the house jungle. Sorry, I can't post a pic. My Corel just crashed. Thumbs down

That sounds perfect for a plant lover. I have millions of pics of my garden and plants but only have pics of my house from when I moved in 9 yrs ago. I was taking pics of the rehab and to decide if where I wanted to place the furniture and of course where to put plants. Green Grin!

Just thought I would give you guys an up date on the pumpkin. It is still solid and doing just fine. This is now 2 months old and other than replacing the cranberries for fresh ones I haven't done anything but water it. I am still using it as a center piece on my table.
Oh I added some small pine cones from one of my trees.

I agree that's really neat Holly!

Here are my container plants update, weather has cooled down here in FL and my flapjacks and other succulents are loving this cold weather.

@HollyAnnS, I had to go back and read about how you made the pumpkin arrangement. That is wild! Can't believe it's been 2 months -amazing! I'm anxious to hear how it does once you move it into the garden in the spring!

@GigiPlumeria, what a great assortment of colorful succulents! And, I couldn't tell very well, but so some of your containers look like rocks maybe? They looked rustic, which went well with the succulents. Thumbs up

I agree Lovely succulents Ibis. Some of Holly's succulent containers are hypertuffa and I want to make more. I just couldn't get around to it this year.
