@Seedfork, a couple of threads back I posted a photo of SUNDANCE (Mexican sunflowers). Recently, I went through my planting journal. It stated that unlike the TORCH variety which grows 6 feet tall or more, SUNDANCE produces a shorter plant growing no more than 3-4 tall. I planted mine in a flowerpot, and they stayed within that height range. My journal also stated that I bought them in Lowe's right off the seed rack. I was very happy with them.

My gardener friend in Mexico wrote to me that her plant grew up to 9 feet. I could not believe it. She sent me seeds. Here it grew between 3-4 feet tall. I sowed only one seed because I did not have enough space. It grew nicely. Have saved a few seeds, but I missed many as I was late to arrive to collect. Empty sockets!
