Becky love you BB's ....Beautiful. Ours have never really been attracted to the suet either. Our BB's were in the tree yesterday but not in a good spot to get very good photos. Around February I start to see them out and about more when Gus and I take our walks.

I just love Snowy Egrets....beautiful!! I love watching Herons as the stalk.

Got this shot of a Blue Jay watching the Pileated Woodpecker. It looks totally baffled!

Claudia, that is a cute shot ... the Jay looks very perplexed by that Pileated WP. At first I thought maybe he was waiting his turn but I see another suet feeder on the other side of the pole. Like kids sometimes, maybe he things the Woodpecker is getting something better so he just plans to wait.

Glad you like the bluebirds. I don't feed mealworms, so I guess I'm lucky they like the suet. My neighbor feeds mealworms and has 3 nestboxes that are in use every year. I think the ones coming to the suet are from his yard.

Claudia, that Blue jay is saying "I hope I don't look that silly when eating the suet!" I have heard pileated in the woods behind my house, but they don't come to the suet. I would love to have them.

Wow, we had 6 flickers fighting this morning around here, it was funny to see one hiding behind the rail on our deck.

Do you suppose it's like humans? The kitchen is one of the smallest rooms in the house & yet EVERYONE congregates there. You could have a cathedral of a LR & everyone would be crunched together in the kitchen.

Look what I saw today, it was in a very tall tree across from the back of my house, had a great view from the kitchen window, went outside to get a few shots, I was wishing I had a longer zoom.

Gosh, the photos are so clear it looks like you were only five or six feet away. I think so many of your photos are frame worthy!

Thank you Lin, I have to say the same about yours, so many gorgeous shots, I don't think we could find enough walls for all of them.

It's funny because I go back looking at some of my photos and think "Oh my goodness, why did I save this awful out of focus picture" and I must admit, there aren't just a few but many!

I did frame a Cardinal photo and a Hummingbird photo a couple of years ago! I have the hummingbird photo sitting on a table just so I can look at it until those flying jewels appear in the garden again! I donated the Cardinal photo to the raffle table at our small local botanical gardens when we were having a "Spring in the Gardens" event last year. We have numerous prizes and live plants donated for the raffle and folks buy tickets one for $1.00 or six for $5.00. Numbers are called a few times throughout the afternoon and written on a large chalkboard and when someone sees their number on the board they get to choose a prize ... and my framed cardinal photograph was one of the first prizes to go. The gardens are open 365 days a year and free to the public. We have no paid employees, all work is done by volunteers and any money received in donations or through raffles goes directly back to the gardens so that's a good thing. I've made and donated things for the raffle table a few times. One year I made wreaths with silk flowers and ribbons and another time I made grapevine wreaths that I wrapped with tillandsia (spanish moss from the gardens that I sterilized) and then stuck small air plants (also from the gardens) into the moss and wired them to the back for the raffle tables too. Those made great outdoor hanging wreaths! We used to do Christmas in the Gardens and I made a few Christmas wreaths and ornaments for the raffle a few years ago.

I make myself go thru photos at least once a year to clear out the ones that are just really bad. Otherwise I would still have every photo I have ever taken!
