Paul, WE love seeing your photos! Yes, I take the liberty of speaking for all because I have read time and again what the other members have commented about your photos and if that didn't speak loudly enough then the thumbs do. Smiling

These are truly touching stories. In case anyone is interested, there is a wonderful book called "Tending the Earth, Mending the Spirit" that discusses the many therapeutic benefits of gardening to the heart, soul, body, environment, and so forth.
In addition to all of the above reasons that ATP is great, many of the people I know and see in my daily life, including my family, are just not obsessed with gardening as I am. They are lovely wonderful people that I care about, but we can't speak "plants" together. So I come here to get my fix, as well as great information, ideas and support. And did I mention entertainment? There was a thread last summer about pot ghettos that not only showed me I wasn't crazy (well, maybe I am, but at least I have company) but repeatedly had me laughing my head off. Who knew? So in case any of you weren't aware, there are many members here who have quite the comedic talent as well as gardening smarts. And laughter is also very therapeutic!

Old gardeners never die. They are just pruned and repotted.

That is so true. Now I have her I keep wondering why I didn't get a dog sooner. All those years I missed out on the company of a sweet dog. And really if my ATP friends had not given me a good shove I might not have gotten her.

No, can't imagine life without her now. She is such a sweetie. But then sometimes she is a naughty pup. Like just a few minutes ago she decided she would chew on the window still to the picture window. I saw her right away and sprayed the bitter apple. It stops her mischief right away. She is just bored because it is too cold to take our usual exercise walks these past few days.

When I was using the vacuum earlier she was playing with the wand. Not afraid if it at all. Silly girl.

Yes, I know Lily was the dog for me. It was fate., we were meant to be together. I think we are both very happy with this arrangement. She has a good life here and I am so glad to have her.
