I have some but they are not big enough to cut. My friend has a good size tree. If you want I can get a cutting this week and ship it for postage. Tree mail me!

Rhapsody....How sweet of you!

....................keep an eye on the weather before you ship. We have had a few nights above freezing but we are fixing to be heading back down tonight and into next week with the freezing nights. Donna is just to north of GA.

Yes, much as I am super excited about the prospect of a cutting right now, Brenda is on the money about those freezing temps. We are having some nasty weather right now, had some 5 degree weather this week and I'm not sure what we are facing. But if your friend would just be willing to part with a cutting in a 2-3 weeks, maybe next week may not have vicious low temps forecast, I have not checked yet but will. Thx

Donna, I saw 'Snowbank' for sale at Green Thumbs Galore http://www.greenthumbsgalore.com/brugmansia.html They're a good grower, and I just received a plant from them of New Orleans Lady that is very nice and healthy. BUT:

The variegated brugs are really wimpy - slower growers and much more finicky than regular ones. (that would explain the high price they are charging on that site)

Not to discourage you, but I've tried twice, first with a rooted plant and next with a cutting of Maya. Neither of them made it, even through their first summer! I have no trouble growing the plain-leafed ones into large lusty plants at all. Brugs love my conditions here.

Thanks girl for the heads up. I have an offer of a cutting for the postage, so when the temperatures are safe in a month or so, I may just go with that and see how I do work the variegated ones. This person has a large tree of it, so it should be a nice cutting. If i do ok with that, I may bite for a bought one. Thanks for the tip! Group hug
