Maybe? I don't know?? It has been quite a while, after all but I think it was the sun that made the sky appear so blue and everything looked so lovely. It was a bit brisk out but boy! The sunshine really improved my mood! Hurray! I think it's going to stick around for the weekend, and I will uncover some plants to let them drink in the warmth and photosynthesis, let the greenhouse warm up naturally, then watch the sun go back into winter-hiding.

Yeh, yeh!!! Hurray! Sun here, too!!! It's been too long since the sunshine - will uncover the plants so they can feel the sun on their leaves.

Y'all sent it my way. The frost was so heavy that it looked like it had snowed overnight. After a few hours of sun, it was gone. Gosh, we are all the way up to 40 F now.

Yes! The weather has taken pity on us and given us the one thing guaranteed to cheer us up! Warmer temps and sunshine! I was beginning to wonder if this would ever happen. Down with the %@#& cold and dreary weather!

Sunny and mildly warm for a few days. And following a rain. I'll have to start looking for the early daffodils and old white flag iris in town. Especially if I see any quince blooming. Those usually edge out the Forsythia by a hair. I wish I had some of those out here in the boonies, but I'll just have to check the American elms out in the low places in the pasture. That's the first sign of spring here.

I'll just enjoy it while it's here! It's still January.

Only January for another week. Depending on how the weather goes, green growth could start showing up pretty soon. Probably just in time for a freeze to bite it back. That happens a lot here. I think that may even be the norm now. A lot of people have just given up on trying to grow peaches because of it Sad .

In Austin it will be 75° today, 78° tomorrow, and 80° Wednesday. Then we're in for some really cold weather! I have bulbs peeking out already. Guess I'll have to cover those.

Actually, I am not from the South but I got her as soon as I could. Thumbs up Houston is about as far East and North as I wished to live.

We didn't hit 78 today, we hit 83! Tomorrow it should be 81. I didn't open the hoops this morning. I hope my plants aren't melting! Too windy this morning to raise the plastic. Love the warm weather, but know it won't last much longer. Will be cold and miserable for the weekend.
