I have a lot going on these days and none of it is good. So I stopped into Lowes and Home Depot and checked out the plants.

Started at HD. I picked up two orchids to kill. I could hear them screaming "Please keep walking." But they were on sale for 5.00. I got two primrose for .98. These are throw away plants tey do not live after flowering.

Went down the road to Lowes and they had a pretty orange mini rose. I can usually keep them alive until summer and I plant them in my patio containers.

Hit the trift store and picked up a basket lined it and planted my little retail therapy.

Shoot, when I go to my Lowe's (my second home!), they not only scream: "Take me home!" they also reach out and try to grab me. No really, they tilt towards me as I pass by. I think they know I would have a good "home" for them. Whistling

Ahhh .... retail thearpy; I kinda, sorta sometimes miss those days. Smiling I've finally reached a stage where most of the time I can ignore the screaming plants that want to come home with me ... even more so when my hubby is shopping with me and I pick up a plant and he laughs and says "where in the world are you going to put another plant?" Rolling on the floor laughing

Cinta, your basket is so cute and makes for a pretty arrangement with the orchids, mini rose and primrose!

Thank you all. I have it over the fireplace in my bedroom so I can see them as soon as I open my eyes in the morning. The other side of the room is a big picture window that looks out over the woods and this is what I see.

Angela, Plants talk to me and I talk to them. Maybe I should get more friends. Hilarious!

Ken you probably remember me saying I promised to never buy another orchid because I kill them. But I broke that promise. They will be alive until next winter and then the leaves will slowly die. I will never see them flower again. But as you see I picked some with the most unopened buds so I should have blooms until March. My house is cool so they last a good long time.

dirtdorphins, Yes it is working. When I feel really down and I do my therapy it works for weeks.

Lin, if you had my weather you are forced to find space to have the needed therapy. Hilarious!

Cinta, yep ... although that white stuff is beautiful to look at I don't think I'd want it around for more than a month at most! Rolling on the floor laughing

Lin, that's why I never take my wife with me when "visiting" Lowe's. Whistling

Pretty arrangement with the orchids and the basket! I indulge in more plant therapy in the winter than in the summer. At the end of every winter I've got a bunch of new houseplants. I don't buy nearly as many during warm weather.

Succulents used to shrink away from me when I slowed down near them in the store. I've gotten better at them though.
