Wow Betty, you sure have a lot of Fred's flowers and they sure seem to be doing nicely for you. I got Lillian's Vapor Trail last spring and was impressed with it. I didn't get much bloom but it multiplied nicely.

'Lillian's Vapor Trail' did better for me than anything else this year. I thought of it instantly when Fred said the Stout Medal wasn't in his future . I'm not nearly so sure. From what he's posted of its progeny, it appears to be a superlative parent. For a lot of hybridizers I expect that has a lot more value than any award. I'm looking forward to seeing it as an established plant in my growing conditions. I hope it manages.

Lillian's First Bite has such a beautiful form and I love the double edge. Kidfishing, you have an amazing collection of patterns...I've been following them through all these threads. Betty, Love God's Way is stunning with that huge yellow watermark, very pretty and distinctive. Nice image of Licorice Twist, Teresa, noticed it as your avatar and have been meaning to ask you which daylily it was.
I got to wondering, after looking at my own long list of "L" daylilies...., how many daylilies start with the letter "L" and did a quick search of the AHS database, 4827. A few from my garden..

I haven't posted here a lot recently because of computer problems, I had to get a new computer about three weeks ago and almost nothing was compatible with the programs I had. The new computer did not even come with Word or Excel which the salesman doesn't say a word about that.
