Larry,
A daffodil bloom, an iris trying to bloom, and daylillies pushing out growth? I have about 7 inches of snow covering everything! Bleh!!!!

You mentioned you bought fressia bulbs? I bought some last year from Walmart. I don't remember how many to a package, but about half sprouted. The rest just rotted. I had them planted in a large flower pot and they were very pretty. I'm definitely going to grow them again this year.

Jane,
I have not done any research on the Freesia. As much as I tell myself not to buy things before I know something about them, I end up doing it anyhow. On the package they do show them growing in a pot, but I was planning on putting them directly in the garden and hoping they would multiply. Darn, just read they will not survive in regions colder than zone 9. Well, I am pretty close, so maybe with a little mulch over them they may still make it.
