These were all planted in full sun just frying away when I had bought the home, asap I transplanted them
along a shady side of the house and my husband built a fence for me around them to help them stand up and
keep the pets from trampling them. Spores would land near by and start me more, so I would dig them
up and give to neighbors. At my now new home I saw a neighbor has a fern and variegated hostas garden that
looks so pretty I want to do the same. Anyway, here are the ferns that were getting sunburned I moved:

I bought a group of small ferns last spring, I wanted some more that would stay green all year. Some of them have a little green on them, others are mostly green and the Champion Wood Fern, and The Autumn Brilliance fern have stayed almost all green though the winter. I am hoping they multiply, because I would love to have more of them to spread out under the oaks.
This is the third year in the garden for this Autumn Fern. This picture was taken the 13th of this month.

I love ferns! blame it on my ignorance or the fact that ive lived in Washington state all my life, but I didn't realize ferns were a part of the Nebraska landscape. fence looks good!

my favorite fern; Japanese Painted Fern: pic from last summer in our "Hodge Podge" shade garden.

these grow like weeds here at my place. native Western Sword Ferns: the two in the pic taken three days ago haven't quite unfurled all the way yet. once they do they'll be nearly 7 feet across and 4 feet tall.

I just made a hosta/fern garden, I no longer live at that house that my husband built the fence to go around the
ferns, but we still own and rent out the home and we went the other day and thinned out a few, dug them
out and brought to this house to plant, may as well save on the budget, why buy when I have a big supply?,
we dug out the ones growing on the outside of the fence where the spores planted themselves.
