Well...that sure sounds like something important! Glad it is nothing to worry about. I sometimes get what feels like an irregular heartbeat, mostly it is at night when I lie down after a very hard day. I nearly panic, then I tell myself to just control my breathing and it seems to correct itself finally. But that sure is a bad feeling, thinking something might be wrong, naturally you don't won't to go to the doctor for nothing, but then you don't want to "wake up dead"!!!

My ER doctor (I SWEAR it was John Malkovich researching a part for a movie) was very emphatic in stressing that these things are harmless and that there's nothing to worry about. He said no one knows what causes them, but I am suspicious of caffeine in my own case. I know that the few other times I've had these "floppy fish" feelings it's been when I'm drinking too much coffee. and when I thought back on the day, I remember that I sort of scolded myself earlier in the day for drinking too much coffee...
I am not "country" I am "landed gentry."
