Does anyone know if you can propagate it from cuttings? If so, how? My neighbor has a male tree and I would like to get a cutting or two. My neighbor has already given permission.

Yes, you can propagate the Gingko from cuttings. Using rooting hormone, keeping the medium damp and making a plastic 'greenhouse' covering it may take about 8 weeks more or less. You should always take more cuttings than you need as some may not cooperate. If you end up with extras there is no problem sharing them later with fellow gardeners in your area.

Unfortunately, no. Life got in the way of trying this and I didn't get a chance to start. Maybe next Spring.
