I am building an outdoor turtle pen for my gulf coast box turtle and the area I am building the pen in has these plants and I'm not sure what they are or if they're harmful to my turtle.

Carolina Cranesbill (Geranium carolinianum) is my guess. Lots of wild geraniums. Welcome to ATP. I tip my hat to you.

I agree, it sure looks like Carolina Cranesbill (Geranium carolinianum) but I have no idea if it would be harmful to turtles. It always sprouts up in my lawn this time of year.
