Glad to see you participating, Paul! And you're right -- that's one!!

Thanks Leslie -- think I need to write that down!!! Question -- must the falls be basically white? If they're another color, is it still Emma Cook?

Brown Lasso:

Brown Lasso is one that has always bothered me -- why do they call it *brown* anything? Because of the rim? I guess that's it -- a lasso is a rope, usually a brown rope -- so it has a brown rope around the falls.................. Shrug!

Mary Ann, I think predominately the falls are white with a border to be an Emma Cook, but I don't think that is the rule.

hahaha Who knows Mary Ann. Maybe the standards made him think of burnt toffee since the hafts are toffee colored? Blinking

Yes, I think the brown rim is the reason for the name on Brown Lasso.

And I know you aren't a fan, but I like all those broken colors. I only have a few, but they add nice contrast to the garden.

OK -- but why *Burnt* toffee? I think it's a stretch. However, the hybridizer did not consult with me before naming it! Rolling my eyes. Hilarious!

Green, grey, wine is how it is defined, but I can see it put in the brown family too.

I think we will see a huge amount of Blyth's iris blends in this thread.

Hope you remember Paul, I really like the looks of that one. The standards look s a bit too orange, but is it Kilimanjaro Sunrise?

Another Emma Cook pattern - but here Mary Ann the falls are more peachy than white.

Now this one is listed as purple and white, but I have always thought of it as multicolor because of the predominate gold hafts. So is it just a bicolor?

The last Kasperak iris is a median...an IB I think. Thanks for posting the picture of Dazzling. How about Man's Best Friend?
