I'm having a little trouble with uploading pictures over here, but only on the first one each time. Once I finally get one to upload then I don't have any further trouble with that group of pictures unless I leave the website and come back later -- and then I have the problem once again with the first picture. I used to have a lot of trouble with uploading pictures on Cubits when I first joined, but then after a month or so I never had another problem. Is there something different about the way pictures upload in All Things Plants that would cause this problem, I wonder...

I take it back -- I just uploaded four pictures and had a lot of trouble loading each one -- had to keep hitting the "Upload an Image" at least twenty to thirty times per picture and trying all sorts of things in between to see if it would take... And I still have no problem whatsoever with uploading pictures in Cubits.

Yes -- I don't know how to do otherwise. I have a Mac and am very computer illiterate!

Ohhh, you do need to downsize those images, ask Juli, she works with on a Mac too and hopefully can give you the basics for quickly doing a batch of images at a time with the Apple photo editing software you use.

You don't have to downsize but it will take longer to upload a large photo file.

The problem is that "Upload an Image" will not respond for me at all and I just have to try clicking on it over and over and over and over and over again... until it finally responds. Usually at least 30 times for one "Upload an Image" to get it to respond once!

Betty, I've had that happen to me a few times these past couple days, and I'm trying to track down what's causing it.

I STILL can't upload pics from my Blackberry cellphone directly to the site. I have to go through the computer, which I'm not hooked up to all the time... Crying

Dave,
It used to be that when I clicked on a pic on my blog, it opened "Bigger". Now, it doesn't. I recently started using Google Chrome, but I don't think that's the problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Linda

What happens if you click on "Upload an image"?

Has this never worked for you before?

No Evan, it was over in the Coleus Forum.
I have always been able to post photos Dave. This time it just the preview and finish buttons moves very fast like it's trying to download but just can't do it. The file is only 898 kb.
It's doing it right now in a new tab. The thread "Container Photos 2011" in Coleus forum

You don't have an "Upload an image" button?

Yes it's there. I clicked it and it is all working to load the photo but no photo. It's not completing the process. The preview and finish buttons move but the upload button doesn't.

I'm finally reporting back that I have somewhat solved my problem with Upload an Image. No matter how many times I clicked on it, and rested my cursor on it and it lit up, it would never respond and show the box that shows the JPG's to select from. This drove me crazy, because then out of the blue it would work -- after maybe 10 minutes! But I finally figured out how to work with it, and I can usually get it to respond after 4-5 tries if I just drag the cursor across Upload an Image and click when I see the color change as I'm moving along. As soon as I see the color change I immediately click, but I can't stop on it or it won't work. I have to hit it with a glancing blow, if you will, and then after a few tries it responds! Yea!!!

It let me select a photo but just won't finish downloading it. It keeps trying.
