I would like to add this pic to the DB, but what is the name of this part of the plant?? The buds and bloom emerge from under the "petals" of the "rose" for lack of a better description.

FYI, If your plant has the chocolate/purplish colored bracts and leaf-undersides then you may have the 'Huntington' form. The flowers are also a deeper pink.
