I think that that is something that should be required of hybridizers -- they should have to state their definition of any Iris that they introduce. They would have the advantage of knowing the genetic structure of their creations. Those of us who do not hybridize and who are not familiar with the genetics of Irises, have no clue why crossing Iris X with Iris Y would likely result in Iris Z -- therefore, we're shooting in the dark.

Not a good system.
