Just now looking at this post. I think your feral is gorgeous, Glengarry! Such perfect markings. He reminds me of a feral cat that I once got to know. It took about the same time (3 months) to get him close enough to eat out of my hand. He had six toes on each of his front feet. Although I named him Ernest, he stayed a wild cat all of his life.

I still have one of his offspring,..always up to mischief and has the same eyes as his dad,..this is Dennis.

The other offspring is housed with a friend who lives some miles away,..below are pictures of him,..he is the boss in the house dominates the dog and forever bringing home rabbits and the like.










The last picture i took of him i could certainly see his dad in every move he made.





Great that you also made friends with Ernest,..yes it takes time to get them to trust us so well done,..interesting about the six toes,..i only came across this once with a friends cat in Utah.

Dennis has such an interesting look, mischievous comes to mind. It's those eyes.

I now have a cat that is the son of a feral Manx cat, so he was born with no tail at all. He's the boss of all of us, including five large dogs. He also likes to bring the dogs 'gifts', not so much anymore, he's semi-retired now and spends more time napping than anything else. But, the mice and other creatures are still scared to come near the house.

Well, I'm a Corey on my father's side and an Ennis on my mother's side, so why shouldn't Toby have relatives in Ireland also?

Hi Christine,..its an odd sight seeing the Manx and most people presume its had an accident,..i bet you get some raised eyebrows?.

Ah yes Dennis,..when he moves i have to look see what is his next move,..tonight my neighbor visited she is 86 years old and luckily she has a good heart because the first chair inside the sitting room is where Dennis sleeps and is well blended in so when one sits on this chair Dennis does not move,..until someone leans back,..then its a hiss and a fast move,..you can hardly see him in the picture below,..just the ears break the outline.
