Lithops are still alive, starting their 12th year here. The size of the clump varies but the 3 individuals that were there before it got cold are not dead. I continue to believe that being pretty dry for the cold spells has helped.

@GigiAdeniumPlumeria if the plants of this discussion can take AL winter, Tampa winter will be no problem.

Graptopetalum, recovering from a bout with aphids. I spritzed rubbing alcohol on them with a spray bottle and that did the trick but some of their carcasses wouldn't wash away from being blasted with the most forceful water I thought was safe, as far as not tearing the leaves off of the plants. Love this plant! It's been in this spot for years and has grown to fit the side.

Strawberry Begonia will hopefully be happy here. I can barely keep track of it on the ground, keeps getting covered with leaves, and it's so much smaller than I thought.

with your assessment I didn't protect my succulents from winter this this time and they are great looking! Last year I protected them and some I kept as cuttings indoors when it good too cold and they got etiolated and had a hard time re-acclimating. This time they are healthy and blooming.

How wonderful! Plants that can basically take care of themselves are the easiest.

Yes I a huge fan of my succulents. It is also well received as gift either as arrangement or as cuttings. I keep telling my hubby to turn our front bed as a succulent garden!

Yes me too. They get full sun, western exposure.

It could be more trouble than it's worth to try to ground the plants if you have to remove mulch first. There could be landscape fabric or plastic under the mulch. Maybe fill the area with your pots
