That would be wonderful, Dianne! Since most peonies are only listed down to zones 7 or 8 it would be very educational to know what does well for you in zone 9! I know I don't want to end up anywhere that they won't bloom....

If You Can't Fix It...
Ordered from them twice... will never order again. First time the roots were smallish and in bad shape. I babied them along and only lost 2 of 20... so was worth it to me to get some varieties that seemed different from what was available locally. They have yet to bloom so we shall see. Next order was for 20 tree peonies... big investment. The sent moldy trash. There were tiny and moldy and just pure garbage. I contacted the company via email and was told "just plant them they will grow"... yeah grow mold is what they are going to do. So, never again. The have earned a giant helping of bad will from me.

I agree I ordered once and don't want to repeat. I planted them in spring and half of them did not survive the winter. Although those who did grow now (after the second winter). Not sure when they are going to bloom.

It takes a long time for them to bloom and they don't look like the beautiful photos on the website.

I have ordered from peony nursery. They have some very nice varieties and the prices, even with shipping, are good. They are not very sizable roots in most cases, but will bloom with time. I would not buy tree peonies from them as they seem to be either too dried out or something, in that they just don't do well. I wouldn't say it is my "go to place" but I have purchased varieties that you can't find here in the US easily.

One thing is nice in that you don't need a permit to get them. And $25 overseas shipping is pretty much the deal of the century. Also they have been very responsive to emails. No ghosting you with these folks.

Gary, that is strange that the post office sent your back. I've never had to sign for them or anything. USPS just leaves them right on the porch.
