Hi, Marilyn. Glad you're here! Hope your garden survived the snow. Can't believe Houston would have had worse weather than we did. Guess we'll definitely need a RU to trade plants this spring!

I think I may have posted this pic on the weather cube, but guess it should go here. As my sweet little wife was leaving the house a few days ago, she spotted something in the front flowerbed. It was a long forgotten Christmas Cactus that had been pretty much buried under the Wandering Jew. Other than a few frostbitten leaves and needing repotting, it doesn't seem much the worse for wear.

My epi died, despite my covering it up. Sad Other than that, I think most of my garden made it through ok. We'll see soon! We definitely need an RU this spring. I haven't been able to make it to the College Station one for a while... Maybe this year.

I am hoping I will be able to get to one or more of them this Spring just so I can meet everyone.

Just thinking out loud: Should we rename those get-togethers since we are, in essence a new group? Maybe......... Well, maybe we need a naming contest.

Jo (Roadrunner) named the first round up, and she's here on Cubits, too, so I think they can probably stay "RU"s. Smiling

Absotutley! I haven't been in a couple of years, and feeling the need for a group hug!
What do you think about Northshore Park in The Woodlands? It has covered pavilions, picnic tables, grills, playground, ducks and a lake. Pretty too.
Am I jumping the gun?

If you're serious, I'll call the parks people and check it out...
We held our MG picnic there last year and it was a great site. Lots of parking too.
March 27, April 17 (Art Festival on the 10th - although not in the same place. Easter weekend the 3rd.)

I guess I wasn't clear. April 10 -11 is the Art Festival. That's a BIG draw.
How about April 17? I think E Texas is doing the 10th anyway...
Thanks, I'll need all the help I can get!

I'm in if it's on the 17th. Let me know and we can start a trade list.

Called the Parks & Recreation today. The ONLY day I could get was April 10, so I took it. I have booked the pavilion from 8-4 (had to take 4 hour increments). There are two pavilions - the other is already booked. The pavilion holds around 70.

The Woodlands Waterway Art Festival is the same day, so that is something people can take advantage of, too, if they would like. It is well attended with lots of vendors. Really neat. I always go... I think it stays open until 6. Anyway, I'll find out more and let you know.

I'm sorry I couldn't get the 17th. That was my preferred date too.

Ceej,
I am so excited that you are having an RU in the Woodlands. My mom lives about 5 minutes from the park.

I will plan on being there on the 10th.

Are you planning on posting a trade board?

I thought I'd wait a wee bit on that. Get more people signed up, see what lived...

OK, I've set it up on DG. Can't trade both places, but I will keep a summary here under the Round Up thread.
