My poor 'Vulcan' came up very late this year (its second year in my garden) and with just one small eye. I think I had it growing in too much shade. I moved it, and now it seems to be coming along better. Next year I'm hoping it'll be happier.

Autumn, 'Krossa Regal' is one of those hostas I simply wouldn't live without. It's an oldie but a goodie. Keep your eye out for 'Regal Splendor,' too. You can usually find a good sized plant at a decent price, and it's an absolute beauty!

I got 'El Nino' as my bonus plant from Hallson. It was one of the few that didn't actually suffer massive hail damage with the storms on Sunday. It's scary what 2" hailstones can do to hostas. Sad

Yup. Big hail. My hostas are looking pretty sad right now, but a little better than they were on Sunday just after the storm. And they're starting to get a few new leaves, which should help.

Sad thing is...I had JUST planted the hostas I ordered from Hallson earlier that week. Thumbs down

Hopefully some with have a second flush of leaves.

the "cable guy" who does work in our park... he lives in or near Ithaca [sp?] -- near Richland Center i think.
he had a photo of their hail with an orange golf ball in the middle of the group of hail..
they were the same size.
