I bought some lily bulbs at a sale today, they are already sprouting, they are in ziplock baggies. It will middle of next week before I can plant them out. Only 40 today and too windy. Can I leave them in the bags? I think they may mold? But will they dry out if I lay them out?

As long as there is not free water droplets in the bag, you can leave them be in the bags. Otherwise, just open the bags. Keeping them cool in the garage or in the fridge is best.

If they seem overly damp, open the bags and let them dry off for a day in a cool room and away from as much light as possible. Then place the bag half sealed in your refrigerator until ready to plant next week. If you are going to store longer, remove the bulbs from their present bag, wrap each one loosely in newspaper, place in a new bag and store in fridge. If you see an occasional spot of blue mold here and there, don't worry, it's usually harmless. If you see anything else suspicious, report back. Smiling
