Yes it is. The truly terrible thing about this is EVERYBODY is afraid of the IRS and so most people will tend to panick and "do as they're told" if they think it's the IRS calling. I am sorry now that I didnt write down the phone number I was told to call and hand it over to the police. I'll do it if this happens again. They need to stop these people.
