Unfortunately voles (and other rodents) like to travel in mole runs and eat bulbs from bellow so catching moles or protect sensitive bulbs from bellow ground damage can still be a good idea, IMHO.

Also moles mostly live on earthworms, so if this is a concern for you, you may want to place a few traps. Personally I prefer Claw Type traps, but finding the correct tunnel to place them in isn't easy and I recommend reading up on the subject a bit before trying, to avoid frustration, should you choose to go that way. There are main tunnels that are used frequently for travel and then there are feeding tunnels that are used much more sporadic and you want to place the trap in the main tunnels.
