I like doublin bay the red roses are very nice but i live in zone 4 MN. I was told that it would never climb in our zone. anyone know of a rose that falls into the following/ fits the following

Big flowered and red

Scented
long lasting flowers and bush life

will thrive in zone 4

Here is some info on Roses for zone 4 from the Univ of Minn, extension service. It lists both shrub and climbing roses in a variety of colors and sizes.

That should do very well there and is a pretty small shrub. I hope it grows well for you.
