The only MTBs I have record of receiving are Frosted Velvet and Bumblebee Deelite. T'ain't neither of those. Could not be a MTB, but still doesn't match any record I have.

Do you have I. germanica? Mine is blooming now and looks similar.

I do have it and the pattern is very similar, but all my germanica finished blooming a couple of weeks back, The form and height of this one are different.

Someone suggested I look at Perfection, which is a 30inch Tall Bearded from the 1890s. VERY close, what do you all think?

An Iris gentleman in the Czech Republic showed me this photograph and it is a spot-on match, so I think mine is Perfection. Bonnie and Leslie, if neither of you has it, I'd bet it came with the batch of historics I got from Lori (enidcandles). There were quite a few rhizomes that had increased, but never bloomed. I divided up the overgrown bed and replanted single rhizomes all over the yard. Sure is possible she sent me both the germanica and Perfection. Isn't this fun?

Bumblebee is yellow and blackish purple, Frosted Velvet is white with dark purple. I sure would have noticed if that little beauty was growing too! So, I am not the source, unfortunately. Glad you could ID it so quickly!

Not Dividing Line--the 'line' is messing. the germanica sounds like a good match.
