Lol .. well there is always 'tropical greenhouse" I can fall back on if I need it .. it's the temporary one I bought at lowes with a plastic cover .. at the moment it's covered in jute string waiting for me to get some morning glory's started.

Not quite .. hopefully will be finished by Friday. Had to get a replacement vent panel as the one that came with the kit was warped.

I think that black frame is very distinctive. It also look like it was pretty well designed, 20 hours for assembly would also indicate it was well fabricated.

I like the black frame too but it would have been finished about 8 hours earlier if the corners had been fabricated correctly and all the reviews said it took 2 people about a day and a half to build it.

Finally got it completely finished with the auto window openers installed. I'm calling a bulk much company today to have some cypress mulch delivered. Once I get the floor covered I'll start moving things in.

Are you going to cover the cypress mulch with greenhouse floor fabric, Anne?

Ken I was going to ask you about that .. I've never heard of putting it on top of the mulch. Could you post a picture?

I will have to go out and take one. Mulch can get a bit messy, particularly as it breaks down. The semi-permeable, greenhouse flooring eliminates that completely. It also holds the mulch in place. It is easy to put down and inexpensive. When its time to replenish the cypress mulch, I just pull the flooring away, put down more mulch, and pull the flooring back over the mulch. The flooring just looks like black fabric. I know it is a polypropylene mesh, sort of like greenhouse shading material, but closer weaved. My flooring came from "Greenhouse Catalog" and the two 10x12' rolls cost $40 each. you can see the flooring on their website.

Slowly getting there but there has been a major setback. Last Tuesday I fell backward into some pots and cracked some ribs (at least I didn't fall on the rebar and impale myself) .. so everything is very slow going and I'm very limited in what I can do! It's so frustrating since I have so much I need to get done! Not to mention the bands of rain from the tropical system off the coast that keep coming in.

I just hate to hear of your accident, Anne, and hope for a quick recovery. Other than time and limited motion, there is not much you can do about the rib situation. I see all the mulch is in place and that looks good. Have you ordered the fabric flooring?

I'm still not understanding the fabric thing on top of the mulch. Is it just going to lay there or does it get tacked down somehow? Seems to me after you walk on it and move a few pots around it will get bunched up and stuff.
