I find it almost impossible to show the true perspective of slopes in the photos I take, the photo just seems to smooth everything out.

I know what you mean. It actually dips quite low but the photo makes it seem like it barely dips at all. There must be some way to get the depth, maybe people standing at various points? I don't know.
