Same here with no stalks. Only 1 bud peeking up on a tulip and a daff, nothing else. Maybe after the 2 days of much warmer temp something will show.

Lucy ~ Old Man Winter took a little vacation in February, and now he keeps popping in. Shrug! It got up to 57° today, and it is supposed to be up to 63° tomorrow! Then the next day rain, then the following day snow! Shrug!

No wonder I don't even have any stalks or blooms! The daffodils are in bloom today.

The summer showed up enough to have one SDB show its colors, but still no tulips or daffs. More winter coming soon though.

I had my first standard daffs open today, but the irises are a long way off, except the reticulatas which are almost done blooming.
Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice!

DaveinPA said:Jane,
It appears to be Iris Germanica, named by Linneaus in 1753. Mine also is about 26-27" with leaves about 15-17", fairly early, but of yellow on beard in throat. See http://www.missouriplants.com/... for good write-up on it. My colors below are not as dark as the real thing.

The Iris germanica collected by Linnaeus has super long falls.

I was told this might be a historic, it's a transplant from a long-standing farmhouse garden. My first bloom of the season!

There are at least 4 other buds in this cluster at the moment.

Mary, send me a note later, late June to mid-July. I will be splitting clumps for the Historic Iris sale.
Also check historiciris.org; they just posted info on the upcoming sale. Will be in July. Members get a 2 day head start. Last year there were around 500 varieties I believe.
Have waited 3 years for this one to bloom:
