I just re did a couple of my flower beds that are around bird houses on poles. The one on the right have 2 Monks Cap plants in it. When is the best time to transplant it? Now or in the fall or spring? Here's a picture.

I've moved aconitum spring to early summer. I'd heard a lot about their brittle roots breaking off, and their general dislike of being moved and I was hesitant to hope for success, but I had no trouble at all. In fact, some forgotten pieces rooted where they were left...just lying on the path.
