I have more pictures, but I'm going to have to get some of my old CD's out and look for them on there...of some of my other plants.

This is the first one I started from a seedling, 5 years ago. These guys are tough. This one gets full hot desert sun all day long, facing south, here in Arizona. With temps soaring as high as 122, it has withstood the heat.

Here is a close-up of one of it's flowers:

This is my Mother Plant. It's about 5 foot tall now, but this was taken at the end of last winter, after I pulled it out from the carport back into full sun. They loose there leaves here in the winter, unless you bring them inside, and put them in a bright, sunshiney, window. As you can see, this ones to big to even bring into the house. This plant is 10 years old now.

Alan, how cold are your winters in AZ? This will be my first year to let my seedling outside during the winter, Already I'm thinking of ways I might offer them some protection like a plastic dome from a seed tray. If they lose every leaf are you saying they will come back? The larger plants that I have as a hedge along my drive way have no problem, and often even bloom in winter,

Jim, we seldom get below freezing, but we can. Florida is a very different climate than here, more humid, so maybe warmer. I don't know. I would not even venture to guess how adeniums handle winters there. All I know is, here, I have to keep them completely dry through the winter, or if the soil gets wet, they start rotting right away. Their caudex turns to mush!

Sooo, you don't keep them outside huh? Did you ever think about hand pollination, some find it easy, I find it very difficult, but with flowers like yours I'd sure give it a try.

They are all outside! Everything here in Southwest Florida is outside. Maybe I'll try hand pollinating some day....
