I see this a lot people selling lilies as daylilies.

Well, they do look like lilies, and the photo was taken during the day... so it is I guess it could pass as a day lily, just not a daylily.

the owner of the auction says.

"Actually, the leaves on Asiatic lilies grow on the stem while the leaves of a day lily grow straight from the ground. These are day lillies."


But the picture is from here tiny orange sensation.....

So they stole the photo also!

Yep and told them after they said it was a daylily that it was not and linked the picture.I was nice and said I am sure yours are daylilies but the picture clearly shows a Asiatic lily.

jeeze... there is an OBVIOUS difference between the two.

guess others have told him that its not a daylily but he was to thick to understand so I had to tell him the picture is copyrighted and belongs to some one else.

update others have been telling the person as well.
the message was to me and 3 others
"Thank you for your interest, but these are daylilies, the leaves grow from the ground and not on the stems as Asiatic lilies do."
I messaged the owner of the picture and let them know his picture was being used.


The picture is misleading people

Thank You Hazeleyes for alerting me to my stolen photo and its use on E-bay. I have reported the seller to E-bay for both fraudulent representation and stealing my photo. I hope they kick him off the site forever! I have also written the seller and told him I have reported him for fraud.

This photo is of Lilium "Tiny Orange Sensation".

Did you ever hear back from any of them?

The seller has not responded to my reply that, even though the seeds may be for a Daylily, the photograph is not and is not hers/his. Guess they don't have to now. When you report a seller, eBay does not tell you what action they took, if any. I skimmed this seller's other listings and it looks as if many, if not all, of the images used are commercial. Maybe Brian's copyright infringement complaint will have some effect long term.

So far it hasn't. I went to put a question to the seller and got a notice this seller is not available for questions.

Keep after eBay, Brian. You have legal rights to that image and the seller is obviously doing something unethical.
