Find a frame at Goodwill...paint it a snappy color and hang it in the garden!

For the round one, get some fun things and glue everything around it to form a frame. My mom painted pinecones with spray paint and glues them to a mirror. It really was funky and looked great at our cabin.

One of my favorite things are mirrors in the garden...I hope more of us will post ours here. I'll find mine later.

I'll have to locate some pictures of my garden area, DH made a raised bed for me then put posts up so I could use a sun screen. I call it my garden patio and made a sign from a drop leaf section of a table. Looks like my sign needs some sprucing up. I have a brick fence at the back where I could hang some "art". My old long cast iron sink is set against this brick fence too. I may have to take some more pictures. I'll have to include a picture of the mirrors. Right now I have the large mirror set up against an old shed, for keeping it safe, and once in a while I see myself watering and think someone else is in garden area too. I have a small yard so small garden area.

Mirrors huh???? Great ideas. I do have little mirrors out. Got them at dollar store, put them by the birdhouses one year. They are still there....

So how do the birds like them? I would think they would be banging their heads into them all the time.
LOL, on another person in the garden. Sometimes when I walk out on the deck and glance in the mirror direction I have to do a double take myself.

Well I have a question about mirrors in the garden.

How do you keep the sun from reflecting off them into people's eyes or onto the grass where it would surely create a brown spot.

Placement, mine is on a long fence and does not reflect even on the garden in front of it on a sunny morn. I have just never had a problem. The sun hits this area in the morning but no reflection has ever bothered the elephant ears or anything else.

So, I guess it's not totally based on aesthetics. I have an antique mirror/coat rack that was falling apart. I fixed it, painted it. Maybe I should think if there's a place to hang it outside.

Thanks, Candee.

Candee I love your mirror. Lovey dubby I've always liked the idea of mirrors in the garden but never had a wall where I could hang them. I just finished the wall on my new workshop, basically enclosed the end JUST so I could have a windowbox because none of our windows are suitable! Hilarious! Now I'm thinking I might have to add a mirror. I remember this old DG thread and the beautiful mirror Susie (Aguane) created and would love to try something like this.

This is the only "mirror" I have in the gardens right now. I like it but I really need to make something to set it on and get it up higher! Whistling It's just too darned low to create the effect I hoped for. Thumbs down

I think that mirror is perfect in that setting, let it be and if you need get another. The hostas look great, mine are always have eaten even with spraying.

Hurray! Hurray! A tour!!

Well, went out and moved some things away from in front of that mirror so I could take a picture. Right now it is against an old tin shed that is such an eye sore. DH mentioned that I could take it down (the shed) and have more garden space. That sounds wonderful, but that shed has lots of junk in it, so when is he going to move that stuff??? don't think it will happen. I sure would love to tear is down.I could have so much more space for my containers, etc.

I went out to measure it, but now forgotten the measurements. But, it is pretty big, someone must have had a backing on it as there are globs of black goo on the back. Sami had to come over and see what I was doing.

You can see my tomato plants in the background.
