Now who says we have to wait for spring? I was in the hottub yesterday and it is DEcember and I spotted buds and blooms on my quince. It is about 40 degrees and has been frosting and flurries and yet it is in bloom!

That is the earliest I have ever seen Quinces blooming. How cheery! I just got back a couple of days ago from a work/vacation 2 week trip to Denmark. It was a winter wonderland there - it snowed the day I got there and everything was covered in white. Two days before I was supposed to leave, it warmed up a bit and rained and all the snow melted. What a difference two weeks make. I am looking forward to wandering around my garden today to see if I have any blooms besides the jonquils that have been blooming for the past month.

I don't think it is a early bloom, I think some bizarre late late late mishap. We have 1" of snow on the ground today and I noticed 2 blooms on my red lonicera??? How bizarre. Don't know what is going on with these wayward blossoms.

Sounds like you had an interesting trip. NEver been to Denmark, bet it is beautiful.
